Social Services
The mission of our Social Services Ministry is to serve and help rehabilitate those who are in spiritual and physical bondage to addiction and poverty.
Clients who come to us for treatment are generally referred into a detox facility for 5-7 days and are given referrals for long-term residential treatment. We encourage all clients to seek treatment in Faith based, Christ centered facilities. Many of these facilities not only offer counseling and drug treatment, but also vocational training to better equip individuals for re-entry into society. Statistics prove that Christian facilities have a much higher success rate than secular programs. Placement into any facility is done on a case by case basis.
Each morning we transport anywhere from 5 to 20 individuals to treatment. Before we leave, each one is given a Bible and nearly all accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We stand firmly on God’s Word that He will complete the good work that He has started in them and we continuously pray for all of them.
In addition to detox and rehab referrals Freedom Ministries provides many other social services both on and off site. Including, but not limited to; furniture and shelter referrals, rapid HIV testing and Essex County Welfare registration.
